Hare Krishna!!!

Last Saturday the 24th I went with my friend Rachelle to the Hare Krishna festival in Spanish Fork a.k.a. the Festival of Colors. It was SO much fun! By the time it was over my lungs were so filled with chalk I could hardly breathe. We had to park like 2 1/2 miles away from the temple. Yes, the walk was long. Especially coming back down. The color was EVERYWHERE!!! I even had purple in my teeth! The next day I still had green in one ear and purple in the other. It was EPIC!!!

Here is a video of the last throw of the day :)

Holy Crap! I'm 20!!!

My Little One

As we wait with hearts content
A child so perfect and Heaven-sent
A child from heaven that knows no sin
Soon will venture from within
Into a family so full of love
Awaiting a blessing from above
A family with whom its life will spend
Not only as a family, but as a friend

-Blaine Freestone-

This is a poem my dad wrote for me on my REAL birthday 20 years ago :) Can't believe I've been alive 20 years. Cheers to the next 20 and hope they bring just as much joy as the past 20 has. Thank you all for loving me and being there for me. MWAH!!! :)

SpRiNg BrEaK!!!

Ok, all sadness aside, Spring Break was actually really good! I spent most of the first three days photographing the lovely temples in Utah (well, most of them). I'll throw up some pics!

Manti
Provo

Timpanogos
Oquirrh

Jordan River
Bountiful

Brigham City

Logan

Salt Lake
Draper
St. George
So, on Thursday I drove down to St. George to watch Morgan play softball. While we were there, mom and I went hiking. There's an awesome crack in the rock where we almost got trapped in, but we eventually made it out :)

So, all-in-all, good weekend and I didn't cause any trouble this time :)

One More Angel in Heaven

Yesterday, March 10, the world said goodbye to one of the most brilliant ladies that I have ever had the privilege to meet. Sherrie Wright lost her short, but vicious battle with cancer. I was privileged to meet Sherrie when I started high school. By the time I was a senior, she had helped me with so much that I considered her to be my mom away from home. Every time I was struggling with Sterling Scholar, scholarships, or even just having a rotten day, I knew that I could always talk to Sherrie and she would calm me down and give me the sound advice that I wouldn't be able to find anywhere else.
A blog post is hardly justice enough for what a great lady Sherrie Wright was. She touched every life that she came in contact with. She raised 7 kids, and I am lucky enough to call her baby, Tim, one of my best friends. Sherrie, you were truly a wonderful lady. I will take lessons I've learned from you with me for the rest of my life. I love you and am going to miss you so so much!!!
