Blizzard Bash!!
The Blizzard of 2010...maybe not so much. But who am I to complain? Last night I decided to visit my dear second family: the Johansens. I haven't actually seen Micquellyn for several months! I got to sit and chat with Micquellyn and Jaque for a while. I also befreinded their ADORABLE cousin Macey, who happens to love me more than either of them! HAHA!!! The wonderful blizzard that was supposed to ravage the great state of Utah (which was a letdown) was swirling around outside. As we were all chatting, watching Oprah and wondering why in the world people become nuns, Sandy decided that I just needed to stay the night. I told my momma this and she decided that she would have it the same way. Though she may have made a hilarious comment about a bundling sack before she agreed...;) I got to stay the night and play in an EPIC game of Phase 10 and a heated game of Scene It: Disney!! Haha! The Biggest Loser and Parenthood were great too! I was never happier to be stranded in my life!! =)
He Truly Knows Us
So last Thursday the 18th I had a bit of a meltdown. I had just returned from an EPIC day/night in Ephraim with my dear friend Caprice Little! =) I got home and all of the stress and things I'd kept bottled up inside just exploded. I walked home from school that day just in tears. I turned to the ultimate source of knowledge...my mom. Though it may not have been what I wanted to hear, she gave me a piece of advice that helped me quite a bit :) I love her to death!
I decided that I needed to get rid of some steam. For those of you who know me, you know that I absolutely LOATHE cooking!! I believe it is of the devil! For some reason I felt like cooking chicken for my favorite kind of chicken salad. I took my sweet time, all alone in the apartment, listening to hymns, cooking chicken and cutting grapes and celery. After I was done cooking I felt so much better!
That night, my dear sister was chatting with me on Skype. When she found out about my morning she immediately video called me and we talked for a good hour and a half. We talked about so many different things! One thing that was quite a surprise was that my dear sister, whom I've looked up to since I was a freshman in high school, is going to serve the Lord for 18 months around the same time her dear brother, and my best friend will leave for 24 months. I'm so excited, yet the selfish me wants to curl up and cry. I'm going to be strong adn be the most supportive friend I can be!
It is strange how the Lord places challenges in your lives in ways that you would never expect. The most amazing things are the people that he places there to help you evercome these trials. If there is one thing and nothing else that I have learned in my short 18 years, it is that God truly knows us. He knows what we can and can't handle, and He knows exactly what's best for us!

Living The Spoiled Life
Last weekend I got to go home for my dear momma's birthday! I had a blast with the family! We opened presents, went to dinner at Tepanyaki's, ate cheesecake, and watched a movie. Just the 5 of us. And, as you know, there is really nothing that can beat the combo of food, family, and fun all in one night! The next morning Smallz, mom and I went to Super Saturday at the church! We made some really cute stuff for a couple of the grandmothers. Then we got to my newfound skill of making bows out of zippers. I went on a zipper/bow rampage and made four of them! One for my sister, two for me, and one for cute little Emily Ferrin. =) After 4ish hours I started to get a little bored, so my dears Amanda June Low and Molly Adams and I went into the bathroom and played the whipped cream game. For those of you deprived children the whipped cream game is played by squirting a small amount of luscious cream on top of your hand. Then you basically hit the wrist with your opposite hand and the whipped cream shoots up into the air and you have to catch it in your mouth (obviously the hand motion is hard to put into words. If you are interested, please inquire further next time you see my face). Here are a couple pitures of the events...
My zipper bows and me in the bathroom with whipped cream on my face and my bows in my hair =)
On Thursday the 11 I went and had lunch with my dear daddy-o. We went to Cabella's and had luch upstairs. YUMMY!!! It's nice cuz it's just me and him and we don't get to have that very often. Even when I go home he usually has to work or I'm out with friends or doing homework and crap so I enjoy every second of daddy/daughter time! After lunch we shopped in the bargain cave and looked at shoes and we just got to talk. The funniest part was, as we were walking up the stairs we saw this GIANT lawn chair!! I sat in it and it made me look like even more of a midget than I already am! Hehe! I <3 my daddy!!
Last, but not least, every Friday there is a devotional at the Institute. This week was none other than....Chad Lewis. He played in the NFL for like 9 years and won a Superbowl Title in 1999. He is like a 3-time all-pro player!! I was super stinking excited and I got a picture with him. BOOM-YA baby!!!!

7 Years Later...
Ok, so I was recently criticized on Facebook for not updating my blog (oh yes, you know who you are!). So, since it's pretty much been 7 years since my last post...here is a new update on the wonderfully, boringly, awesome life of ME!
1) School.
School is going great here at the concrete slab. I've had no prblem adapting to the fact that I'm only in school for 4ish hours a day as opposed to 7ish. Tests are a constant pain in my Freshman 15 butt!!! Oh well. As long as I'm happy...I guess...yeah, sure.
2) Work.
As you may or may not know (if the latter, we are not caught up in life and you should CALL ME!!) I work at Provo Rehab & Nursing as a CNA. For someone out of high school $10/hour is pretty legit shiz. I have fun...as much fun as you can have at work...so yeah.
3) Halloween.
I had the lovely unfortunate mishap of working Halloween night. On the plus side, I got to dress up. Well, all I did was paint my face...it looked like this.
Now for the best part of this costume...I worked in the Psych unit that day. Yeah...I pretty much scared the poop out of my favorite resident. Like really. She screamws, sat down, started shaking and crying. I felt terrible, but c'mon...how can you not laugh at that!?!?!? =)
4) Hunting!
Last weekend I went to the end of the world (Logan) to go hunting with my family. No worries all of you animal rights people, it was so rainy I hardly even saw anything. The spike really wasn't worth it. The highlights were:
a) Going on the annual D.I. run with alll of the women. We packed so much crap into that car it's a miracle we all fit! Plus, my dear cousin's wife DaNiel got hit on by some Mexi named Miguel. Yes, I could've done something...but really, would you rather interject and explain that she is married with a little boy OR sit there and watch as she turns red and has that sad look of desperation every time your eyes meet?
b) Having my two wonderfulous male associates (thank you President Porter) come up and have dinner with the fam. I loved how I watched form the hill as they took a wrong turn and got stuck in the mud. I think my little cousin Easton had more fun with Jaque then I did. It was EPIC!! LOVE YOU JAQUE AND TIM!!
So yeah...that is life. Maybe I'l get around to posting another thing within the next 4 years or so...who knows. That is all.
