MY Road Less Traveled

Looking back now at the things that I have done in my short 2 decades of life I realize that some things have been a cake walk, while others have seemed like the Achilles Heel: things that would destroy me. Yeah, that may seem a bit melodramatic, but it's true. I've also realized that every one of these things have made me the person that I am today. It has not been the easiest path, by any means, but it is MY path, and MY road less traveled. And I wouldn't change a thing!
I've always hated English, except in 7th grade when Mrs. Vervloet was my teacher. She was one of my favorite teachers ever. She also introduced me to my favorite poem, and the one that describes me best: Robert Frost's "The Road Not Taken."


TWO roads diverged in a yellow wood,
And sorry I could not travel both
And be one traveler, long I stood
And looked down one as far as I could
To where it bent in the undergrowth;

Then took the other, as just as fair,
And having perhaps the better claim,
Because it was grassy and wanted wear;
Though as for that the passing there
Had worn them really about the same,

And both that morning equally lay
In leaves no step had trodden black.
Oh, I kept the first for another day!
Yet knowing how way leads on to way,
I doubted if I should ever come back.

I shall be telling this with a sigh
Somewhere ages and ages hence:
Two roads diverged in a wood, and I—
I took the one LESS TRAVELED BY,
And that has made all the difference
